STRATEGIC ACTION PLAN FROM 2017 TO 2019

IBRAHIM ABUBAKAR LAJADA’S HISTORY

ACHIEVEMENTS AND SUCCESS STORIES

Abubakar Lajada, a man of prestige and importance was born on August 4, 1983 in Biu, Borno State, He attended Barki Primary school, Biu, where he obtained his first school leaving certificate in 1996 and Lajada High school, where he obtained the WASSCE Certificate, in 2002. He then proceeded to the University of Maiduguri, where he obtained Diploma in Public Administration. But his search for knowledge took him to the US, where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, and a Masters in Political Economics, before settling down to build his business empire.

Abubakar was noted for his academic excellence and placed with the responsibility to serve as the class captain from his preliminary days to his final day in elementary school. Despite his young age, Leadership has always been his greatest strength and attribute, this providence placed in his able and willing hands early enough; a duty he carries out with diligence, humility, enthusiasm and tenacity prompting him to take a shot at the highest office in the land to effect change in the polity.

His political relentlessness sprung up with the rise and challenging economy, and has since been up bound. His love for justice and a peaceful coexistence is his greatest driving force.

According to him, making economic progress depends on value addition, which is the primary goal of an entrepreneur. His stint as an Entrepreneur can also add value by creating jobs. It is a very simple process. The more jobs are created, the more value is added and vice versa. Entrepreneurship is by far the most effective method to enable people to earn more, and in turn they will consume more and become participating members of the economy. All humans desire freedom and the right to determine their destiny as individuals or collectively, and in order to do so, we need the opportunity to rise above poverty. This is what Lajada presidency will give Nigerian through an alternative path. The alternative path is economic stabilization and a credible leadership.

LAJADA is not seeking to be famous or seeking political office to dip his hands in the national coffers. God has already blessed him and he is living well in Saint Louis Missouri, United States of America with his beautiful wife and children and he is running his business empire. But it is his love for his country, a nation that has become a laughing stock among the comity of nations because of economic mismanagement. Nigeria is a nation of paradox. A nation with human and natural resources that should be competing at the same level with developed nations yet crying for hands out from those nations. That is what Ibrahim Lajada cannot stand, that is why he is peeved, that Nigeria a nation of his birth with such enormous, unimaginable resources has its people wallowing is excruciating poverty and squalor because of bad leadership.

His dream is a future where there is a reasonable striking balance between the rich and not so rich, where Nigeria’s greatest problems; tribalism and religion chauvinism is wiped out or reduced to the barest minimal ever recorded in the history of Nigeria, where there is accurate census and even distribution of resources, where there is a peaceful coexistence and the stereotypical belief of difference amongst the geopolitical zone doesn’t exist, where people’s voices are heard, where youths are indeed leaders of tomorrow and are treated as such and where everyone would rather invest in Nigeria than take the growth and development opportunities abroad.

The Abubakar Lajada Foundation is poised to be responsible for many technology driven activities that support educational development in Nigeria. A new project  “ANYWORK247.NG” initiative which targets young and skillful persons between the ages of 18 and 45 ensuring that they are fully engaged by using their skill to pay their bills in computer programming, software development, graphic designing, hardware assembling etc. The foundation shall also initiate a project of engaging young and aspiring entrepreneurs to give them the necessary exposure and training to reach their entrepreneurial goals and aspirations.

ABUBAKAR LAJADA STRATEGIC PLAN AND FOCUS FOR THE NEXT TWO YEARS

Abubakar Lajada’s focus is on “Nigeria as a Priority” and this brings clarity and guidance to addressing the current economic and social situation of the country. As such, emphasis will be on unifying the country, addressing security and economic issues, and ensuring that there is accessible and affordable healthcare for the people of Nigeria. This therefore underscores the need to make his vision, mission, goal, core values and objectives more adaptable to the development realities in Nigeria and beyond.

The campaign organization is a credible platform that is guided by distinct democratic philosophy that fosters and supports the recruitment of contemporary visionary and purposeful leadership for nation building and national development

Confronted by a nation whose national fabric have been weakened by failed political promises creaking beneath a burden of wild expectations from battered citizens Lajada’s strategic plan is anchored on a vision of hope and a mission for renewal for all and sundry

VISION, MISSION AND CORE VALUES

REPOSITIONING ABUBAKAR LAJADA FOR PRESIDENCY 2019

In the past two years, several external issues have affected the Abubakar Lajada Campaign towards the 2019 presidential race. Such factors include; deceit/broken trust, Incompetence, Recession, Multiple exchange rate, Lack of synergy in the arms of government, lack of proper policy implementation and most importantly lack of a clear vision for the country.

Abubakar Lajada possess leadership qualities which would appeal to Nigerians such as having a young and articulate mind, being a bridge builder, generational shift from the status quo of past leaders, and time conscious with a will to display consistency and also he will be an accessible leader.

Abubakar Lajada is a front runner in providing empowering opportunities to Nigerians from young to the middle age, tthrough diversification of economy and e-economy (e-commerce): ICT empowerment such as job creation and skills development in the ICT sector Abubakar Lajada has empowered well over 1000 youths.

For the health sector, Abubakar Lajada Campaign will appeal to Nigerians by introducing a software application aimed at reducing waiting times for consultation at various medical institutions nationwide and ensure that the disbursement of resources to the health sector are done promptly to improve service delivery. Also, proposing a ban or limit on medical tourism for all public office holders and introducing a Health is wealth program/campaign/advocacy that covers all Nigerians. Abubakar Lajada Campaign advocacy approach would be focused on regional restructuring and creating a Niger Delta amnesty programme that is sustainable.

Policies and programmes that allows for local content development and encourage production of local goods of which Abubakar Lajada can propose channels such as developing online portals that will serve as linkage for vendors and consumers of made in Nigeria goods.

For education sector, Abubakar Lajada campaign would ensure that there is massive investment in educational sector, establish scholarship programmes and conduct an upward review of teacher’s and lecturers emolument. Also, the campaign would advocate for free and compulsory primary and secondary education, focus should be on vocational educational, less emphasis on certificate more on skills and emphasis made on the learning outcomes.

The lack of adherence to court orders, constant abuse of human right, Oil spillage and environmental degradation in the Niger Delta, Herdsmen killing, Insurgencies (bombing, kidnapping, and killings), Biafra: cessation attempts, Failures in the power sector and Infrastructural deficiencies and an increase in Geometric Unemployment Figures (Unemployable graduates) are some proof the issues that the Abubakar Lajada campaign organization shall be bringing to the fore and preferring solutions to in the course of the campaign for the next two years.

This campaign is faced with challenges such as re-orientation of the mind of young and old voters alike e.g. educational system, Resources – Human Resources, Financial, Inducement, Propaganda and threat to Security of campaign team and their families.

The opportunities available to the Abubakar Lajada campaign for the next two years include development of the mining sector, development of tourism sector, promotion renewable energy, and massive industrialization, development of agriculture and agro-

allied industries and the availability of sound human resources home and in the Diaspora.

Nigeria has resources in all parts of the country to generate revenue. All states of the federation have products they can be added value to and export to increase the nation’s non-oil export. Within Lajada’s first 100days in Aso Rock Villa, He plans to actively engaged the governors and partner with them to maximally exploit all resources in their domain and to support them to work with the private sector to increase internal trade (interstate). Nigeria is an agro-based economy even before the civil war and that is why they did not borrow money to prosecute the war or finance basic infrastructures and building institutions.

We will introduce both internal and external competition to make the economy work. So we will try to create an environment conductive to the growth of business. We will remove a large number of controls and regulations, which in the past had stifled the spirit of innovation and the spirit of entrepreneurship, and restructured the scope of competition, both internal and external.

Lajada’s dream is that as we are in a crisis, that we should undertake basic structural changes. Out of that would emerge a new Nigeria, free from be no poverty, ignorance and disease. We get that Nigeria becoming a major global player in the world economy. That is the vision that will inspire our economic reforms.

We can do these with the provision for making it easy to start a business in a legal way, securing property rights, and ensuring judicial independence and impartial courts. We will put more emphasis on basic education and health care as priorities.

But change must start from within the individual. For individual leaders, finding solution requires a flexible mind. When facing a problem, the leader needs not only a very high level of knowledge and competence, but also the ability to identify the right view and then to act on it.

Nigeria’s troubled economy is in recession, which is expected to worsen following the inability of President Buhari to steer it otherwise. Thousands of people are losing their jobs and there is tremendous hardship all over the country. Unemployment, insecurity, the deplorable power supply, and fuel scarcity are urgent concerns that are yet to be addressed. The economic and security situation will threaten Buhari’s ability to implement the widespread reform he promised.

Nigeria has inadequate infrastructure, poor roads, power that is available only intermittently, the lack of safe drinking water, no sewage system, insufficient schools, hospitals, and medical doctors. The government must make huge investments in these areas, as well as in training and paying for qualified teachers and doctors to provide our people with a decent standard of living.

Crude oil, the backbone of Nigeria’s economy, is no longer the commodity it was internationally, and the recent dip in oil prices is primarily the cause of the country’s current economic predicament. As a result, Buhari’s administration must concentrate on revenue generation. The Nigerian government must seek revenue through other means such as sales tax or government fees. There is a great opportunity for our country to diversify the country’s economy due to the collapse in oil prices, however it appears that improving the economic situation by creating more jobs in multiple sectors of the economy outside of the oil industry is beyond Buhari’s span of knowledge.

FRAMEWORK FOR STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT

The strategic areas for growth and development of Abubakar Lajada Campaign as teased out above can only be achieved if there is a formal framework for Operationalization. This framework for achieving the goal, strategies and objectives as described in the tables below will enable Abubakar Lajada Campaign achieve the mission and vision in the next two years. The tables are structured to link the overall goal with strategies, and then to specific objectives for each strategic objective, and corresponding activities that would be implemented to achieve each objective.

Table 1 speaks to the structure for mobilization and security, Empowerment and Other interventions, Media and Communication, Secretariat, Funding and Resource Mobilization and Partnership and Collaborations for the Abubakar Lajada Campaign. The table also focuses on the specific objectives, activities and their corresponding objectively verifiable indicators and means of verification. There are defined assumptions and risks that have been considered when developing these interventions, especially as revealed by the scanning of the current political, and socio-economic situation in Nigeria.

Achieving this activity framework will require a collaborative effort among the board, campaign management and technical leads of this campaign. A conscious effort would need to be put in place to drive this process. Team work which has always been emphasized would be the binding force for achieving success for this campaign. Documentation, data generation and reporting would be required to ensure that all accomplishments are adequately reported and shared with appropriate stakeholders and beneficiaries. Abubakar Lajada Campaign will therefore make strategic effort to create platforms for information dissemination and sharing of lessons learned in the next two years.
